A long, long time ago, behind seven hills and seven forests and also having swum two ice-cold lakes and having walked a few meadows, there was a land of sound. It was inhabited by big and small, winsome and disturbing, friendly and quarrelsome, rich and those barely audible notes. They lived in harmonies and cacophonies, symphonies and discords and sometimes, in a malicious act of wrath and rebellion, they would match themselves into out of tune couples and introduce chaos and paralysis into the whole melody of the land of sound.
The then reigning Dominant A, who was sung prominence over all octaves, scales and rhythms, was indignant due to such insubordination under Her Majestic baton and therefore, to punish the culprits, she would set cruel sanctions and sophisticated suspensions, sometimes even hanging on the staff! Along with her devoted, forth sister C sharp, they imposed an imperative of smiles in major and they exacted that compulsion of happiness rather consistently. That escalating atmosphere of oppression made the first notes feel a need to awaken from apathy and the unnatural state of all-embracing keys of joy. Those individuals united under dissident movement of melancholy and longing, sadness and reflection. Organised in opposition as minor sounds of liberation, they shook the notes' legal and public order and agitated the consciousness of nearly transformed hybrids of silenced psyche and crafted form. Attracting all communities of minor -es, -gs and -ds, the movement led to liberation from the despotic conduct of the land of sound and the further, inevitable abdication of Dominant A.
An aura of general harmony and understanding returned among all keys, tones and sounds and a penchant for sudden nostalgia found it's place in gloomy evenings and in the maroon hue of candles. The turbulent times of revolution and liberation bestowed upon the land of sound a beginning of a new ideology, which from then on would be a treble clef to each and every composition. It's only dogma was to find cohesion of melodic texture with substance, nature and spirit.
That is how a new musical trend was born, they called it CALM STATE.
